John van Vianen, Chief Executive Officer

John is CEO of iBasis and a member of the iBasis Board of Directors.

To iBasis John brings more than 18 years of experience in the telecommunications and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry in various executive management positions. Prior to joining iBasis John was Managing Director of Information & Communication Solutions (ICS) at KPN/Getronics and a member of the KPN/Getronics Executive Committee. ICS provides a wide range of communications services to various customer segments in the Netherlands and in international markets. Between 2004 and 2007, John was responsible for the KPN business unit that provides data & IP solutions to the national and international business markets of KPN. Also, John was Senior Vice President of KPN ICT Services, which provides Enterprise Solutions, Application Hosting & Housing, Narrowcasting and Software as a Service to the business market. John also held senior management positions within KPN/Qwest, including vice president of mergers and acquisitions, and represents KPN on the supervisory board of several ventures.

Mark Flynn, Chief Legal Officer

Mark S. Flynn is Chief Legal Officer for iBasis. In this position, Mark manages the legal affairs of the company and provides counsel on a range of related issues including corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

Mark has many years of diversified corporate experience in both the manufacturing and service sectors as internal legal counsel and in private law firm practice. He has substantial experience in corporate legal affairs including corporate governance and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, acquisitions and divestitures, and corporate finance. Prior to joining iBasis, Mark was Vice president, General Counsel and Secretary for Imagistics International Inc., a NYSE-traded company engaged in the marketing, sales and service of document imaging equipment with revenues exceeding $600 million and 3,500 employees in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. From 1999 to 2001 Mark was a partner in the Business Practice Group of the Wiggin & Dana, LLP, a top-tier law firm based in Connecticut where his practice was focused on business transactions and general corporate representation. He has also served in senior legal counsel positions at public and private companies in the chemicals and health care industries, including Senior Deputy General Counsel of Olin Corporation, a diversified chemicals and materials company.

Mark is a member of the Advisory Board of Integra Ventures, a Seattle-based venture capital fund, specializing in healthcare and life sciences. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Stamford Theatre Works, a not-for-profit professional theatre resident in Stamford, Connecticut. His professional associations include the American Bar Association, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals.

Mark received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University College of Business Administration, and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law, where he served on the staff of the Fordham Law Review and the Fordham International Law Journal.

Paul Floyd, Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Paul is responsible for guiding iBasis' key operational activities, growth initiatives and technology decisions as the company continues to expand its portfolio of enhanced, voice and data services. Paul brings to iBasis more than 20 years of experience in managing highly innovative and productive engineering organizations. Paul joined iBasis in 2001 and was most recently Senior Vice President, global products, network and systems.

Before joining iBasis Paul served as the senior vice president for the DSL business of AT&T spinout, Paradyne Networks. The largest of Paradyne's business units with yearly revenues exceeding $150 million, Paul was responsible for engineering, product management, strategy and planning.

Prior to that, Paul held the position of vice president of Research and Development at Paradyne, responsible for leading all of the product and technology development efforts within Paradyne. In this role, Paul was instrumental in Paradyne's July 1999 IPO, and in creating over $200 million of yearly revenue through new product introductions. He also led the pioneering efforts around the development of ReachDSL technology and products, the industry's longest loop reach DSL technology.

Paul also spent the previous 13 years in various key senior-level engineering and design roles in both AT&T's Paradyne division and AT&T Bell Labs.

Paul has a BSEE and MSEE from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from The University of South Florida.

Edwin van Ierland, Global Sales Officer

Edwin van Ierland oversees the company's global sales and purchase organization and is responsible for developing and managing execution of the company's worldwide sales strategies. He is also responsible for managing iBasis' retail business. Edwin brings to iBasis more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications dating back to his years in the Royal Netherlands Air Force where he held various staff and operational management positions with responsibility for communications infrastructure, operations and policies.

Prior to joining iBasis in 2007 Edwin was managing director of KPN Global Carrier Services, the international voice business of Royal KPN N.V., the national carrier of the Netherlands. Edwin was instrumental in the transaction between iBasis and Royal KPN N.V. that resulted in the merger of KPN Global Carrier Services into iBasis in October of 2007. As managing director of KPN Global Carrier Services, Edwin was responsible for growing KPN's international wholesale voice activities, with P & L accountability, including development of the innovative Mobile Matrix portfolio and the development of emerging markets. Previously, from 2000 to 2006, Edwin held positions of increasing responsibility within the management team of KPN's Carrier Services wholesale business unit during which time he was responsible for business processes and information technology and for the introduction of new products for both the fixed and mobile markets in a regulatory environment.

Prior to joining KPN, Edwin was on the management team of Schiphol Telematics, which provides voice and data services to all companies involved in aviation operations at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands. He also spent eight years as an Air Force officer in communications and operational command and control functions in the Ministry of Defense/Royal Netherlands Air Force. Edwin graduated as an Airforce officer from the Royal Military Academy (Electronics) and has completed advanced study programs in Management, Business, and Information Systems.

Ajay Joseph, Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Ajay Joseph is responsible for the technical strategy, innovation, and engineering of the iBasis Internet Telephony infrastructure. Since 1999, Ajay has lead the network architecture, systems development and migration of the global iBasis network to an all IP, switch-less architecture with iBasis' proprietary Assured Quality Routing (AQR) and Path Engine routing systems enabling iBasis to become one of the largest voice carriers on the world.

Prior to joining iBasis, Ajay was manager and architect of the IP Telecom division at GTE Internetworking responsible for new VoIP-based services. He also held senior level engineering and design positions at DeskNet Systems and NYNEX Science & Technology.

Ajay is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School. He holds Professional Engineering and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.

Tamah Solomon Rosker, Vice President, Global Human Resources

Tamah Rosker develops and implements human resource policies and programs for iBasis, emphasizing strong employee communications and motivation as well as creative approaches to human resource development. Tamah brings to iBasis 20 years of experience working with high technology companies to develop human resource programs and address employment issues. Previously, Tamah served as Vice President Human Resources for the speech and language technology company Dragon Systems, Inc. and for Kendall Square Research, Inc. As a practicing labor and employment attorney for several years, she authored employment law articles and is a member of several professional organizations. Tamah holds a BS degree from Tufts University (magna cum laude) and a law degree from Boston College Law School where she wrote for the Uniform Commercial Code Journal.
